As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law pursuant to § 7 para. 1 TMG. General Information on Data Processing

Personal data is collected on this website only to the extent technically necessary. Data processing is carried out on the basis of the GDPR (Art. 6 para. 1). We do not share personal data with third parties unless required by law.

Your Rights

You have the right to free information about your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77) at any time.

Hosting

The website is hosted on a dedicated server with IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany) located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

Server Log Files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files: browser type, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, time of request, and IP address. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stability and security), is not merged with other data sources, and is automatically deleted after no more than 14 days.

Cookies

This website uses a session cookie (auth_session) for authentication. This cookie is technically necessary (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted when you sign out. No tracking cookies or third-party cookies are used.

User Account

When you register, your email address, username, and a hashed password (Argon2id) are stored. You may optionally add a profile picture, bio, and website URL. You can view and modify all your data in your profile at any time. To delete your account, please contact us by email.

Preset Storage

Uploaded preset files are stored encrypted on our own S3-compatible storage (Garage) in Germany. Preset metadata (name, description, tags) is stored in the database. You can download and delete your presets at any time.

Web Analytics (Matomo)

This website uses Matomo, a privacy-friendly open-source web analytics tool, operated on our own servers (musikersuche.org) in Germany. Matomo runs cookieless: no cookies are set, IP addresses are anonymized, and the browser's "Do Not Track" signal is respected. No data is shared with third parties. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reach measurement).

YouTube Videos (Playlists)

On the Playlists page, users can embed YouTube videos to link backing tracks to their presets. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): YouTube only sets cookies once you actively play the video. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When playing, data (e.g. IP address, browser information) may be transmitted to Google. Bot Protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

During registration we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a CAPTCHA-free bot protection service by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Turnstile analyzes technical browser signals to prevent automated sign-ups. It does not set cookies and does not record mouse movements. Transmitted data: IP address and technical browser metadata. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protection against spam and abuse). Details: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Fonts

This website uses the fonts "JetBrains Mono" and "DM Sans". Both are served exclusively from our own server (self-hosted). There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font service.

Offline Functionality (Progressive Web App)

The application registers a Service Worker to enable offline use in your browser. It stores static resources (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, images) locally in your browser. No personal data is transmitted to any server. You can revoke this storage at any time via your browser settings.

Email Communication

We send emails exclusively for transactional purposes: account verification, password reset, and verification reminders. Sending is handled by a contractually bound technical service provider (SMTP) under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Your email address is not used for newsletters or advertising and is not shared with third parties.

SSL/TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in your browser's address bar.
